Hats made by hand, in Makola, since 2016

Jill's Hat and Accessories is a small workroom on the first floor of SIC LIFE Mall, in the middle of Makola. Every piece that leaves the shop is blocked, wired and trimmed here by hand — no two are quite identical, which is rather the point.

Most of the work is for an occasion someone has been thinking about for months: a wedding, a naming ceremony, a church anniversary, the races. That is why colour matching matters more than a catalogue does. Customers bring a swatch of the dress, and the piece is built around it.

The shop also keeps sinamay, feathers, beads and trims for other milliners and for anyone learning. If you are starting out, come and ask — we would rather the craft spread than not.
